COVID19 Vaccine Programme Update 23.2.2021

By the end of this week/ end of February, after an amazing effort by the team at Court Road Surgery, we will have completed over 700 1st dose COVID vaccinations.  These have been given to patients in the priority groups that we have been allocated by the Cardiff and Vale Health Board:

  • Over 80
  • Aged 75 – 79
  • Aged 65 – 69

We are working through our list of patients aged 65 – 69, starting with the eldest in the group working backwards to those aged 65, and anticipate that all patients in that group will have received their invitation and vaccination by the end of w/c 1.3.2021.

In relation to all our patients aged 75 and over:

  • There are a few patients who needed to delay, and we will contact those patients again to book them in.
  • Patients we have listed as housebound will be contacted by the Health Board for vaccination at home.

If you are aged 75 and over, and have not received a COVID vaccine please make contact with the Patient Services Team on  01446 733181 at the practice AFTER 10am, Monday to Friday or via email enquiries.w97058@wales.nhs.uk

GP Surgeries have ONLY be asked to vaccinate patients in the three age categories.  At this time, we believe that the MVC will be contacting all other age groups.  We continue to receive a high volume of queries relating to the Covid vaccination programme and continue to request that these queries are directed to the Cardiff and Vale Health Board Covid Vaccine Enquiries Line on 02921 836341 (09:00 -17:00 7 days a week).

We are still working hard to provide our usual services to patients, and it is important that our team is able to help patients who are unwell and rather than discuss vaccine queries which we are not responsible for.
