Informal List Closure with effect from 09.06.2021

From Wednesday 9th June 2021 Court Road Surgery will have an Informal List Closure and will not be accepting any new patients.

GP Practices have a duty of care to provide quality, accessible and safe care to patients. We also have an obligation to review and take appropriate measures if we deem our workload would compromise patient safety or the care we provide.

We have a shortfall of 8 GP sessions per week. This equates to 4 full days of GP time/ over 100 consultations a week/ 5200 consultations a year, for which we have been unable to recruit. Our list size has continued to rise and we now feel that if we continue to accept new registrations, then the level of workload will jeopardise our ability to provide safe care to our existing patients with the resources that we have.

Unfortunately, we feel unable to accept any new requests to register with us at this time and have taken the decision to apply an informal list closure whilst we continue our efforts to recruit GPs, or other healthcare professionals that can complement the service we wish to provide.

Please be assured that we have not taken this decision lightly. Nor does this decision in anyway relate to applicant race, gender, social class, age, religion, sexual orientation, appearance, disability or medical conditions.
