Smoking is one of the biggest causes of death and illness in the UK. Smoking increases your risk of developing more than 50 serious health conditions. Some may be fatal, and others can cause irreversible long-term damage to your health. And did you know that breathing in secondhand smoke, also known as passive smoking, increases your risk of getting the same health conditions as smokers. Babies and children are particularly vulnerable to the effects of secondhand smoke.

Help Me Quit is the single point of access for all NHS stop smoking services in Wales providing free expert behavioural support: face-to-face – one to one or  in groups, in local pharmacies, in hospitals or over the telephone.

NHS stop smoking services offer smokers the greatest chance of success by providing structured, tailored and expert support , carbon monoxide monitoring and access to free licensed stop smoking medication.
